ARRL Affliation The ILLIANA RADIO CLUB is now ARRL Affliated. If you pay your ARRL dues through the club there is a discount available.

Scouts Recieve Donated Books

On Monday, 1/25/2010, the Boy Scout Troop at Ryves Youth Center, through the generosity of the Terre Haute Radio Club, Commercial Radio Service, and Tim Doty received donated copies of the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual. The scouts are in a Technician license class being conducted by the Illiana Radio Club.

Monthly Test Sessions

The ILLIANA RADIO CLUB is offering monthly test sessions on the second Thursday of every month. Weekend testing is well covered but there's a need for weeknight testing. The next test session will be 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 10th, 2009, at Ryves Youth Center, 1356 Locust, Terre Haute, IN 47807. Walk-ins allowed. Big Splash at the National Night Out

The Illiana Radio Club had a booth at the Terre Haute, IN, National Night Out event held in Fairbanks Park on Tuesday evening, 8/4/2009. We had a blast. Lots of pictures were taken. Lots of people were there. Quite a few flyers were taken away. Several people stopped to either say they are interested and wanted to know where and when to test. Also some stopped to tell stories of how a relative who had passed on LOVED Amateur Radio and had made them very happy. Visit the Photo Album to see the pictures.

First Field Day Huge Success

Field Day was Saturday and Sunday, June 27th and 28th and The ILLIANA RADIO CLUB had a huge sucess We operated from Dub's CB Shop. Our Field Day was well attended with at least 50 operators, helpers, family and visitors coming to the site. We made over 1500 contacts.
